A recent US survey compared businesses in five cities in order, to learn what makes a business grow. The results revealed seven characteristics, which linked to growth and success. This is what they found:
Those who liked their business best, tended to grow the most. The growers tried to service their customers rather than themselves.
The rapid growers took less money out of their business in the early stages. They also worked longer hours. Growers became good managers in all phases of their businesses.
Those who embraced the web and other computer based technology. Growers identified more problems, and could also come up with more solutions. And the growers constantly asked advice – free and paid – took the advice seriously, and applied it .
The idea of growing your business does is not a new one and the whole program does not need to be convoluted or difficult, it can be simplicity itself.
Be a grower and developer of your business, be in love with your business and watch it and your profits flourish which will allow you to work less hours, be more satisfied and productive, have a happier team, be better engaged with your clients and suppliers and generally make more profit in less time.
Take care, take action and be relentless…

Great post on network biudling. It can seem intimidating at first, but even just making a couple of connections a week whether through a business meeting, finding a connection through a group on the LinkedIn networking site, or just someone you run into will make it easier the next time. Once it becomes a habit, you’ll hardly know that you are doing it but you’ll suddenly realize how busy you are with new projects you hadn’t even imagined 6 months or a year ago.
